Natural hoof care services for light horses, heavy horses, donkeys, mules and minis
Gentle handling
Until relocating to California in late 2011, I managed Lone Pine Ranch near Vernon, BC in Western Canada. In addition to hay and cattle ranching, I operated a natural horse boarding facility there and incorporated lessons learned from the study of wild horses to enhance the living conditions of our own herd.
All of the ranch horses were either barefoot or fitted with hoof boots while on the job. Many of our guests remarked that they had never before seen boots for horses. I enjoyed discussing with these folks the most recent developments in hoof care since it fell right in line with my passion for "keeping it natural" for our horses.
Various equine activities hosted at the ranch have included horsemanship clinics, natural hoof care clinics, draft horse clinics, winter ski-joring, Back Country Horsemen events, and an endurance competition.
I am an AANHCP and Liberated Horsemanship Certified Natural Hoof Care Professional and an EasyCare Dealer/Hoof Care Advisor. I now operate a natural hoof care trimming and boot-fitting business in the area around Sacramento, working mainly with performance horses. I also provide rehab services for navicular and laminitic cases.
A Field Instructor for Liberated Horsemanship's Barefoot Initiative and an AANHCP Certified Practitioner, I also offer clinics for owners interested in learning to trim and boot their own horses.
